2023 Schedule and Results

January 2023

Tiafoe’s first tournament of 2023 was the United Cup, where he helped Team USA to win the inaugural event, defeating Italy in the final.

At the Australian Open, he lost in the third round to Karen Khachanov in four sets (3-6, 4-6, 6-3, 6-7).

February 2023

Tiafoe played in the ATP 250 tournament in Dallas, where he lost to fellow American JJ Wolf in the quarterfinals (6-4, 3-6, 4-6).

His next tournament in February was in Acapulco, where he lost in the quarterfinals to Taylor Fritz (3-6, 4-6).

At the Indian Wells Masters, Frances reached the semifinals, losing to Daniil Medvedev in a tight match (5-7, 6-7).

Tiafoe won his first title of the year, at the US Men’s Clay Court Championships in Houston, defeating Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the final 7-6, 7-6 – see match highlights below

2022 Schedule

Frances Tiafoe’s most memorable match of 2022, was at the 2022 Laver Cup in London, where he and Jack Sock defeated Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer in the doubles.

Tiafoe also made it to the final of two ATP tournaments in 2022, losing to Sebastian Baez 3-6, 2-6 in Estoril, and to his fellow countryman Taylor Fritz 6-7, 6-7 in Tokyo.
