In this article, I will look at the WTA tournaments that Leylah Fernandez is expected to play in 2023, as well as looking at the tournament she will be playing in next.

2023 Leylah Fernandez Schedule
Leylah Fernandez’s next tournament and match will be at the World Tennis League in Abu Dhabi, which will be held from the 21st to the 24th of December 2023, with his next game having yet to be confirmed.
Leylah’s next WTA Tournament and schedule for the first couple of months in 2024 is expected to be confirmed in December 2023.
January 2023
Leylah warmed up for the 2023 Australian Open, by playing in the ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand, losing to Ysaline Bonaventure in the quarterfinals (4-6, 2-6).
At the Australian Open, Leylah narrowly lost to Caroline Garcia in the second round 6-7, 5-7.

February 2023
Leylah qualified for the main draw at the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open but then lost to Shelby Rogers in the first round (4-6, 7-6, 1-6).
The following week, she lost to Karolina Pliskova (2-6, 5-7) in the 3rd round of singles qualifying for the WTA Doha tennis tournament.
At the first WTA 1000 of the year in Dubai, Leylah made it to the second round, where she was defeated by Iga Swiatek in straight sets (1-6, 1-6) – see match highlights below.

Leylah played in the WTA 1000 tournaments in Indian Wells (lost to Caroline Garcia in the 3rd Round) and Miami (lost to Belinda Bencic in the 2nd round) in March.
In the women’s doubles in Miami, Leylah and her doubles partner Taylor Townsend made it to the final, where they lost to Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula (6-7, 2-6).

Fernandez won her first round match against Evgeniya Rodina (6-3, 6-2) but lost in the second round match to Paula Badosa (5-7, 6-7) at the WTA 500 tournament in Charleston.
At the Madrid Open, Leylah lost to Mirra Andreeva 6-3, 6-4 in the first round.
