The tournament was previously called the Chicago Tennis Festival when it was played in 2019 and 2021.

2021

In the 2021 singles tournament, Clara Tauson defeated Emma Raducanu* in the final 6–1, 2–6, 6–4.

*Raducanu would go on to win the singles event at the 2021 US Open, becoming the first qualifier to win a grand slam trophy.
