Tournament organizers at the French Open tennis tournament have announced the top seeds for the men’s and women’s singles events for the 2023 tournament.
In total, there were 32 seeded players in the men’s and women’s singles tournaments, with Carlos Alcaraz as the top seed in the men’s event and Iga Swiatek as the top seed in the women’s event.
In the men’s and women’s doubles draws, there were 16 seeded teams while in the mixed doubles, there were 8 seeded teams, with the seeds for these events being released when the draws were completed on the 28th (ATP/WTA Doubles) and 29th of May 2023 (Mixed).

French Open Seeds 2023
In the men’s singles tournament, Carlos Alcaraz was the number 1 men’s seed, followed by Daniil Medvedev as the number 2 seed, with the 2021 Roland Garros men’s singles Champion Novak Djokovic being seeded number 3.
Last year’s singles finalist Casper Ruud was seeded number 4, with the winner of the 2023 BMW Open Holger Rune seeded 6.
In the women’s singles tournament, the world number 1 and defending Roland Garros women’s singles champion Iga Swiatek was the number 1 women’s seed, with the 2023 Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka the number 2 seed, and Jessica Pegula seeded number 3.
