Since 2021, the seeds for the Wimbledon Championships have been based on a player’s ATP world ranking, having been previously (2002-2019) based on a formula that took into account a player’s performances on grass over the preceding two years.
The official list of seeds for the 2023 Wimbledon championships was released on Wednesday, the 28th of June 2023, with Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek being named the top seeds in the singles.
Like the other grand slam tournaments, Wimbledon 2023 will have 32 seeds in the singles, 16 seeds in the doubles, and 8 seeds in the mixed doubles.
