Tournament organizers for the US Open tennis tournament have released the initial list of wild cards for the 2023 tournament, with Venus Williams, Caroline Wozniacki, and John Isner being the most well-known players on the list.
For 2023, there will be a total of eight wild card entries for the men’s singles, women’s singles, and mixed doubles events, while the singles qualifying events will have 9 and the men’s and women’s doubles* will have seven.
NB: The wild cards for the men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles will be released closer to the start of the tournament.

2023 US Open Wild Card Challenge
The Wild Card Challenge gives American players the chance to qualify for the US Open as a result of their performances in select ITF, ATP, or WTA tournaments in the run-up to the tournament each year.
The Challenge has been run since 2012 with past winners including Tommy Paul, Sofia Kenin, and Shelby Rogers, with the winners of the 2023 US Open wild card challenge being Steve Johnson and Kayla Day.
