The Babolat Pure Aero and Yonex Vcore 100 are solid all-round tennis rackets that will suit a wide range of players from intermediate to advanced levels.

The Pure Aero range of tennis rackets is one of the most well know on the market as it is endorsed by the King of Clay Rafael Nadal as well as other top pros such as Felix Auger-Aliassime, Leylah Fernandez, and Carlos Alcaraz, while the Vcore 100 is currently endorsed by Eugenie Bouchard, Caroline Garcia, and three-time grand slam title winner Angelique Kerber.

Babolat Pure Aero vs Yonex Vcore 100

To see what were the main differences between the Vcore 100 (or “V100”) and Pure Aero (or “PA”), I looked at the racket specs of both frames and summarised the differences below.

After completing this comparison I was surprised by just how similar these two rackets were in terms of specs, as both rackets have the exact same head size (100in), length (27in), balance (4pts HL), stiffness rating (65), swing weight (322) and String Pattern (16×19).

Main Differences: The biggest difference between these two tennis rackets is their beam widths with the Vcore 100 having a 25.3mm / 25.3mm / 22mm beam width while the Pure Aero has a 23mm / 26mm / 23mm beam width, which means you will get a little more help in terms of power from the Vcore 100.

The Vcore 100 also has a slightly lower strung weight (11.2oz vs 11.3oz) but the difference is very small.

Below is a short video summarising the specs of the two rackets:
