The Head Gravity Pro and the Head Radical Pro are two of the most popular Head tennis rackets, so we thought we would compare the two rackets to see which might be better for the average beginner, intermediate and advanced player.

The Gravity is endorsed by ATP players Alexander Zverev and Andrey Rublev while the Radical is endorsed by 3-time Grand Slam champion, Andy Murray.

Due to the popularity of the players endorsing these two rackets, both have become very popular amongst recreational club players.

For this racket comparison, we will be using the 2023 Version of the Head Gravity Pro (or “HGP”) and the Head Radical Pro (or “HRP”).

Both tennis rackets have a standard 27in length, however, the HRP has a slightly smaller head size of 98 inches compared to the 100 inches of the HGP.

Both the HGP and the HRP have a racket balance of 6 points Head Light.

Both tennis rackets have the exact same strung weight of 332g (11.7oz).

However, the HRP has a slightly lower swing weight at 325 versus the 334 of the HGP but you won’t feel a huge difference in terms of swing weight.

The HRP is the stiffer of the two rackets with a stiffness rating of 64 versus the stiffness rating of 63 for the HGP.

The HRP has a slightly thicker beam width (20mm / 21.5mm / 21mm) than the HGP (20.0 mm) so it will be easier to generate power with the HRP when compared with the HGP.

If you don’t quite have a full swing yet then you will find the HRP the easier of the two tennis rackets to get power from.

The HGP has an 18 x 20 string pattern while the HRP has a 16 x 19 string pattern.

If you want to learn more about how different string patterns affect the playability of a tennis racket then check out our article on Tennis Racket String Patterns.

For me, the HGP has a much nicer design as it looks great and it has a more modern look to it.

Both of these rackets are available to buy on online shops such as Amazon, Tennis Warehouse, and Tennis-Point.

Head Radical Pro vs Gravity Pro Comparison
