Tennis has a long history with the Olympic games<\/strong> with it being included as a sport in the inaugural Summer Olympics in Athens in 1896.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tennis would continue to be included as an Olympic sport until after the 1924 Olympic Games when it was dropped after a dispute between the IOC and ITF<\/a> over the definition of amateur tennis players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tennis would not make a full return to the Olympics until 1988 in Seoul, South Korea<\/a> and since then it has been included as a sport in each subsequent games and will also be included in the Paris Games<\/a> in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
