Wilson announced a general release date (14th of September 2022<\/strong>) for an updated version of their popular Ultra 100<\/a> tennis racket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new V4 range of tennis rackets<\/a> will also include 108, 100L, 100UL, and Team versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This article will look at what differences they are between the new V4 and the previous V3 to see if it’s worth upgrading your old V3 racket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you would expect, the Ultra 100 V4 and V3<\/strong> share many similarities as they both have the same head size (100in<\/strong>), racket length (27in<\/strong>), strung weight (318g<\/strong>), balance (4 pts HL), and string pattern (16×19<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of differences, the V4 (317g<\/strong>) has a slightly heavier swing weight when compared with the V3 (312g) which is likely to mean the V4 will be less maneuverable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The V4 (70)<\/strong> also has a lower stiffness rating than the V3 (73<\/strong>), which should please tennis players who thought the V3 was too stiff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Probably the biggest change made to the V4 is the beam width with the V4 having a slightly wider beam width than the V3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
