Is Juan Martin Del Potro Retired?

Before the start of the 2022 Argentina Open, Del Potro announced that the ATP 250 tournament in Buenos Aires and the ATP 500 tournament in Rio could be his last two tournaments on the ATP Tour.

In the 1st round in the Argentina Open, in an emotional match, he lost to his compatriot Federico Delbonis 6-1 6-3.

He was not fit to play in Rio so his 1st round loss in Buenos Aires could very well be his last match on tour.
