The total prize money pool for the 2023 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells was $17.6m, with equal amounts being paid for the men’s and women’s events (WTA: $8,800,000 and ATP: $8,800,000).
This was an increase of approximately 2.52% from the $17,168,110 paid out to players in 2022.
The Indian Wells tennis tournament is one of an increasing number of tournaments that has equal prize money for the men’s and women’s events and has done so since 2012.
The winners of the men’s and women’s singles event in 2023 each won $1,262,220 (2022: $1,231,245), with the runner-ups winning $662,360 (2022: $646,110).
The winning men’s and women’s doubles teams in 2023 received $436,730 (2022: $426,010, with the runner-ups receiving $231,660 (2022: $225,980).
