Diriyah Tennis Cup

The Diriyah Tennis Cup is an exhibition tournament that is played on outdoor hard courts at the Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia.

The inaugural tournament was played in 2019 with Daniil Medvedev beating Fabio Fognini 6-2, 6-2 in the final.

No tournament was played in 2020 or 2021, but 2022 will see a return of the exhibition event with top players like Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev already confirmed for the event.

Dates

The 2022 tournament in Diriyah will be held from the 8th to the 10th of December 2022.

This year’s tournament will be played in the same week as the WTA 125 level event in Angers, France.

Tickets for the 2022 competition are not on sale yet but according to the tournament’s official website, tickets will go on sale soon.

Prize Money

The prize money for 2022 will total $3,000,000, which is more than many ATP 500 tournaments.

2019 Diriyah Tennis Tournament

Daniil Medvedev won the inaugrial Diriyah Tennis Tournament, beating 6-2, 6-2 in the 2019 final.

In the consolation final, the American John Isner beat Jan-Lennard Struff 4-6, 7-5, 13-11.
