Champaign Challenger

The Champaign Challenger is a tennis tournament on the ATP Challenger Tour that is played on indoor hard courts at the Atkins Tennis Center in Champaign, Illinois.

The first ATP Challenger event in Champaign was played in 1996 with Justin Gimelstob winning the singles and David DiLucia and Scott Humphries winning the doubles.

Past singles champions have included top players like Ivo Karlovic, Kevin Anderson, and Reilly Opelka.

Men’s Singles

The current champion in the singles tournament is Ben Shelton who beat Aleksandar Vukic 0-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the 2022 singles final. This was the second year in a row that Vukic was beaten in the Champaign singles final.

Men’s Doubles

The current champions in the doubles tournament are Hans Hach and Robert Galloway who beat Ezekiel Clark and Alfredo Perez 3–6, 6–3, 10–5 in the 2022 doubles final.
